Framingham Man Arraigned After Allegedly Firing at Police

FRAMINGHAM – Justin Breakspear, 31, of Framingham, was arraigned today in Framingham District Court and charged with six counts of armed assault with intent to murder, six counts of attempt to commit murder, possession of ammunition without a license, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, possession of a firearm without a license, assault with a dangerous weapon, witness intimidation, four counts of possession of a large capacity feeding device and possession of a firearm after two violent crime or drug convictions. Middlesex District Attorney and Waltham Police Investigating Suspicious Death

 
WALTHAM – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Waltham Chief of Police Keith MacPherson are investigating the suspicious death of a woman in her 30’s on Adams Street in Waltham. Today, at approximately 2:40 a.m., Waltham police responded to a report of an assault on a female. Upon entering the residence, police located the body of an adult female.

 

Derrick Lopez, 18, of Waltham, is currently in custody in connection with this incident and is charged with assault and battery causing serious bodily injury and armed assault with intent to murder. This is not believed to be a random incident and there is no danger to the public. These charges are allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

 

This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police and Waltham Police. The case has been referred to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner who will determine the cause and manner of death. No further information will be released pending the notification of next of kin of the decedent and the Medical Examiner’s ruling.
